1991-1992: 1 year hospital based general practice residency program, University of Rochester, Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, New York; Certificate awarded 1992.

1993-1995: Fellowship in Geriatric Dentistry, University Hospitals of Cleveland, Cleveland, Ohio; Certificate awarded 1995

1999-Present: Medical Staff appointment to St. John Medical Center, Longview, Washington.

  • Completion of several hundred dental cases under general anesthetic.
  • Coverage for the majority SJMC Emergency Department “city call” pediatric and most adult dental emergencies and orofacial traumas and infections.
  • Extensive experience in the management, hospital admission, treatment, and coordination of care for pediatric and adult dental in-patients.

1999-2000: President Lower Columbia Dental Society

2000-Present: Affiliate Clinical Instructor, University of Washington School of Dentistry.

2006: Selected as Beta Site for UW Dental Fears Clinical Research Project.

2006- 2007: Chair, Department of Surgery St. John Medical Center, Longview Washington.

2006: First recipient of the newly established Penner Award for excellence in service to St. John Medical Center Emergency Department.

2006-2008: ABCD Champion (chairperson) for Cowlitz County. Access program to provide a dental home for Medicaid eligible children.

2006-2008: Member of the PI/QI surgery committee (quality assurance committee) SJMC
